The Laxiped Project, led by the Research Team at the ASSAL Center, in collaboration with Quentin Praz and Spyridon Schoinas and supported by Fongit, has received 110,000 CHF from Innosuisse!
The Laxiped device aims to facilitate the diagnosis of first ray instability, which is involved in the development of numerous foot pathologies such as hallux valgus, hallux rigidus, metatarsalgia, and flat feet.
It is with this measurement system that the most accurate results to date have been obtained, enabling objective assessment of first ray instability. The use of the Laxiped helps guide the type of management and surgical techniques to be adopted. It is also used to measure the stabilization of the first ray following a hallux valgus correction.
We are delighted to take part in this project, aimed at improving patient care in the field of foot and ankle!
