A major milestone for Centre ASSAL!
We are honored to receive the Roger A. Mann International Award from the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS) at its 2026 Annual Meeting.
This prestigious Award recognizes our research that helps doctors choose the safest artificial ankle for each patient. It is based on a cohort of hundreds of patients during a 20-year period.
Our study shows that alignments of the ankle make a big difference in how well an implant performs over time. Therefore choosing the right implant design reduces the risk of further surgery and improves patient’s satisfaction and safety – even at a very early stage after surgery !
This recognition highlights the potential of our work to improve ankle care and outcomes for patients worldwide.
