Treatments

Non-surgical treatments

Whatever your pathology, the Centre ASSAL for Foot Care and Surgery team prefers non-surgical treatment if we believe this will be sufficient to relieve or eliminate your pain, restore your mobility and improve your quality of life. We therefore prioritize alternative options before resorting to surgery.

Therapy

Manual techniques play an essential role in the rehabilitation of foot, ankle and lower limb injuries. To reinforce the healing process, the Centre ASSAL collaborates with a network of specialized therapists (physiotherapists, osteopaths, acupuncturists, etc.) who work at the Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy Centre of the Clinique La Colline.

Orthopaedic appliances

Devices such as casts, orthoses, and braces can be used to stabilize or immobilize the injured part of your foot, leg or ankle. The most suitable option will be chosen based on your pathology (sprain, fracture, etc.). In some cases, wearing certain shoe insoles can resolve ankle and foot alignment problems.

Medication

Some patients will get relief from their pain or inflammation with oral anti-inflammatory medications or corticosteroid injections. These are generally administered at the Centre ASSAL using an aseptic technique to ensure their safety.
