He has been working as a physician at the Centre ASSAL for Foot Care and Surgery since 2013 and is renowned for his skill and knowledge of sports medicine. His consultations focus on rehabilitation and he is also in charge of the postoperative follow-up of patients to ensure they regain full mobility after surgery. Dr Marc Francillon is also the attending physician for Handball Geneva (M15 and M17) and during the Geneva Tennis Open.
During his university studies, Marc Francillon was awarded several diplomas and developed specialist skills in various fields, specifically manual orthopaedic manipulations with Prof. Jean-Yves Maigne at the Hôtel-Dieu de Paris Hospital (1999), sports injuries with Prof. Jacques Rodineau at the University of Paris VI (1999) and sports medicine and biology with Prof. Jacques Mercier of the University of Montpellier I (2001). He received a post-graduate diploma from the Swiss Sports Medicine Society in 2006 and was certified by the Swiss Medical Association (FMH) in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2008.
