Christian Zuodar specializes in immobilization techniques, such as casting and devices that stabilize or immobilize joints (orthoses). He started his career in 1995 in the Orthopaedics Clinic of the Geneva University Hospitals before joining the adult and pediatric emergency team in 2000, focusing on the management of patients with musculoskeletal injuries.
In 2012, Christian Zuodar joined Dr. Mathieu Assal at the Centre ASSAL where patients benefit from his extensive experience in fractures, trauma, wound care and surgical reconstruction.
After obtaining a general nursing degree from the Institut Bon Secours in Geneva, Christian Zuodar went on to specialize in orthopaedics. In 2012, he established a Swiss-French course in cast immobilization for primary care and continues to organize this course today. More than 30 doctors, nurses, nursing assistants and medical assistants take part in this training every year. Christian Zuodar also provides training in ambulatory medicine and specialized operating room aids in relation to immobilization systems, through the continuing medical education program, Espace Compétences.
